There are two events merging together this week in Regina for Canada’s Education Ministers.
The 110th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada is today and Wednesday, which according to a news release from the province, will focus on strategic priorities to advance quality education over the next four years.
The provincial and territorial ministers will also participate in the CMEC Symposium on Indigenizing Education. The Symposium is regarded an opportunity to learn from leaders of Indigenous post-secondary institutions, with a focus on decolonizing education.
CMEC Chair and Advanced Education Minister, Gord Wyant, says he looks forward to welcoming his colleagues and Indigenous representatives from across the country to share insights.
