Fire investigators discovered the Hudson pub, which suffered a fire on Friday night, didn’t have working fire alarms.
Damage is estimated at $25,000 dollars and the pub was closed. The owners have been directed to fix their alarms prior to opening again.
The fire broke out just before 11 o’clock. Once crews arrived, smoke could be seen coming from the roof and none of the bar patrons had been evacuated.
Around 130 people were evacuated by fire crews and no one was hurt.
The fire was contained to the roof, however smoke made its way into the bathroom and furnace room through the ventilation system.
Firefighters had the fire under control by 11:30 p.m. The cause of the fire is from tarring that was performed earlier in the day.
