The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan has issued a warning about the online trading platform Gold TradeFX.

The FCAA says the platform claims to offer Saskatchewan residents an opportunity to invest and trade in crypto currency, and contract for differences, through the website www.goldtradefx.com.

Executive Director of the Securities Division Dean Murrison says “If an online platform is not registered, they are not a safe choice for Saskatchewan residents – it’s as simple as that.”

FCAA is aware of at least one person in Saskatchewan who has given funds to Gold TradeFX. In Saskatchewan, individuals or companies must be registered with the FCAA to trade or sell securities or derivatives and Gold TradeFX is not registered.
