Regina Police say a third person has been charged in connection to a 2021 homicide investigation.

On July 15 last year, just after 5 in the morning, police responded to the 800 block of Princess Street where they found an injured man. Jason Bird was taken to hospital and succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation led to the arrest of Mursal Abukar Hagi, 32-years-old, of Edmonton. He is charged with First Degree Murder and was in Regina Provincial Court to answer to the charge today.
