If it has seemed hot, apparently there is more yet to come.
Environment Canada has issued heat advisories for about two-thirds of the province including Saskatoon and Prince Albert.
Humidex values reaching 35 are expected for the next 3 days and Environment Canada suggests “As the heat builds into Saskatchewan tomorrow, expect heat warnings to spread.”
Daytime highs of 32 degrees and higher and overnight lows near 16 degrees are forecast to throughout southern Saskatchewan over the coming days. This heat is expected to last through the weekend.
There are also fog advisories in southern Saskatchewan this morning down through the Fort Qu’appelle, Lumsden, Assiniboia and into the southeast at Estevan/Weyburn. For the far north, special air quality statements continue in Wollaston Lake and Collins Bay where there is smoke from forest fires.
The forecasted high for Saskatoon today is 35 degrees, without the humidity factored in.
