Some SaskPower customers in Saskatchewan’s southeast are still without power following storms that hit the region Friday night.
Over the course of the day yesterday (sat), crews were able to restore power to about 6,000 customers affected by the storms, although just over 3,000 residents are still in the dark.
Due to many downed lines and broken structures, the power is expected to be out until noon today (sun) for rural areas south of Whitewood.
Two o’clock this afternoon (sun) for Rocanville, 5 p.m. this afternoon (sun) for rural areas southwest of Wapella and 6 o’clock for the Sakimay First Nation.
SaskPower says localized damage may also result in some customers remaining without power even after primary repairs are completed.
