Dakota Buttar, the 29-year-old of Eatonia, shared the championship podium for top prize in Bull Riding at the Calgary Stampede with Shane Proctor from Grand Coulee, Washington.
They tied with a score of 88.5 with Buttar on Jayded and Proctor riding Afraid to Nod.
Buttar and Proctor along with Brazilian bull rider Alan De Souza and Jared Parsonage of Maple Creek, Sask. were all given second chances after they were bucked off their bulls in the final round.
Parsonage rounded out the top four in a re-ride on Alameda Slim taking home a $5,000 prize.
The other Saskatchewan bull rider competing – didn’t place in top four – and that was Cody Coverchuck of Meadow Lake.
