For a second straight day, the Saskatchewan Roughriders will not practice due to a COVID-19 outbreak, which the C-F-L team says is affecting more players Wednesday.
An update late Wednesday morning from the Green and White says since Tuesday, an additional six players tested positive for the novel coronavirus, meaning the Riders now have 10 players in various stages of COVID protocol. While saying that Wednesday’s practice has been cancelled, the Roughriders added that, at this time, no decision has been made on Thursday’s practice, or Saturday’s game against Toronto. SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS COVID-19 UPDATE
Since Tuesday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders have had an additional six players test positive for COVID-19. The Club now currently has 10 players in various stages of COVID protocol. As a result, the team will not practice on Wednesday.
The Club continues to follow all CFL COVID-19 protocols and are in regular contact with the CFL Medical Committee for their guidance and expertise. At this time no decision has been made on Thursday’s practice, or this weekend’s game against the Toronto Argonauts.
