There was an unexpected aerial display in downtown Saskatoon Wednesday morning, with the Saskatoon Fire Department (S-F-D) executing a rescue with their ladder truck.

The S-F-D received a call at about 10:59 a.m. to help a person that was suspended 40 feet in the air in the 200 block of 19th Street East. It turns out the person was a window washer, working on the mostly glass outside of the fairly new Nutrien building in River Landing. Within 25 minutes of receiving the call, two firefighters in the bucket of the ladder truck that was dispatched to the scene were able to secure the window washer into the bucket and bring all three down to the ground to safety.
