The fourth and final person wanted in connection to a Saskatoon Police Service investigation into the death of 30 year old Megan Gallagher has been arrested. Forty-four year old John Wayne Sanderson was arrested by RCMP on James Smith Cree Nation on Wednesday, charged with indignity to human remains. Three others, 41 year old Ernest Whitehead, 44 year old Roderick Sutherland, and 42 year old Jessica Sutherland, are all facing the same charge.
On September 21st of 2020, a woman who wasn’t Megan Gallagher used her phone to call for a cab, and a man was also heard in the background. It was the day after Megan had last been seen alive, on video surveillance from a convenience store in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive. In May of last year, police released audio of the call for a cab to see if anyone could recognize the voices. Sanderson appears in court on Thursday.
