A 15 year old boy is facing charges in connection to a Regina Police Service investigation of a weapons incident Wednesday night. Police say two people youths received minor injuries.
Several police units were dispatched to Lorimer Crescent just after 8:30 Wednesday night and were told two youths asked a bystander to call police, saying they had been shot at be people they recognized in a black Ford Escape. One was hit in the hand and the other in the arm, but what police believe are BBs. While taking statements, other officers did an area check and conducted a high-risk traffic stop.
A 15 year old boy is charged with possession of an imitation weapon for a purpose dangerous to public peace, and two counts of shooting a BB gun with intent. The Regina Police Service reminds the public that the unlawful use of airsoft pistols and BB guns can carry serious criminal consequences and can also cause injuries and property damage.
