RCMP are looking for a missing senior in northern Saskatchewan.
Seventy-four-year-old Lois Chartrand was last seen around 11:00 a.m. Thursday (August 4), on foot, mushroom picking northeast of Kilometer-30 on the Hanson Lake Road (Highway #106).
Members of the public who are familiar with this area are asked to assist in the search for Lois. There is a command post set up approximately 32 kilometres north of Smeaton on Highway #106. Anyone volunteering is asked to go to that location and sign in. If you see Lois, call 911 immediately.
She is an experienced mushroom picker and became separated from another person she was with, who began searching for her and called police for assistance.
Lois is described as being approximately 90 pounds and is 5 feet tall. She was last wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket.
Police have communicated with Lois via a radio she is carrying, as recent as 6:00 a.m. this morning, but she has not yet been located.
Severe thunderstorms, wind and rain that came through the area impacted the search for Lois last night.
