An early Sunday morning incident in Regina, during which a pellet gun was discharged at another person, has resulted in a 21-year-old man answering to 10 charges in total.
Alvin Carr of Regina made his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court Monday after the Regina Police Service was called to a residence in the 700 block of Elphinstone Street with a report of a firearms offence. A man, known to the occupants of the residence, entered the house and discharged a pellet gun at the head of another man.
The victim was transported to hospital by E-M-S with injuries believed to be non-life threatening. Police learned the suspect was known to carry firearms with him at all times and that he was wanted on outstanding warrants as well as being prohibited from owning or possessing firearms.
The suspect male was arrested at a residence on the 800 block of Elphinstone Street shortly thereafter without further incident. A search of the residence found firearms, ammunition and other weapons.
