Saskatchewan RCMP issued a news release just before 3pm Wednesday saying the eastbound lanes of  Highway #1 were closed from six kilometres west of Rush Lake to seven kilometres east of Swift Current.

A grass fire is burning and smoke is reducing visibility at times.  It is not known how long the lane closures will last.  Detours are in place but motorists can expect delays.
