The Canadian Football League returns to action tomorrow when Week 10 of the regular-season starts with Montreal at Winnipeg. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are idle until Saturday when they visit the Edmonton Elks at 8 p.m. The Green and White have 4 wins, 4 losses for 8 points…good for 4th place in the Western Conference. Edmonton has 2 wins, 6 losses for 4 points…good for 5^th place in the West. The Riders’ next home game is Friday, August 19^th against the B-C Lions. Kickoff time is 8 p.m. at Mosaic Stadium in Regina.

The Prairie Football Conference will open their 2022 regular-season on Sunday when all six teams are in action, including the seven-time defending champion Saskatoon Hilltops. The Toppers will host the Winnipeg Rifles. Game time is 1 p.m. at Saskatoon Minor Football Field.

The 2022 Canada Summer Games continue today and run until Sunday, August 21^st in Ontario’s Niagara region. Saskatchewan has a full team compliment of 488 participants. The breakdown is 377 athletes and 86 coaches for the 18 sports, plus 25 mission staff coming from 70 different communities in the province. Week 1 sports will be baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, women’s box lacrosse, mountain cycling, rugby sevens, men’s soccer, women’s softball, swimming, tennis, triathlon and wrestling.
