Members of the P.A. Police Service Crime Reduction Team recovered a sawed-off rifle, ammunition, stolen cheques, ID and various other documents during an investigation on Wednesday.

Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Kemp Crescent late in the afternoon. A 28-year old man was arrested and is facing a number of charges, including possession of a dangerous weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a restricted firearm and ammunition, possession of a firearm obtained by crime, possession of stolen property, and breach of cour-ordered conditions.

The accused will appear in court on Thursday morning.
