Saskatoon Police responded to the 100 block of Ruth Street East near the Saskatoon Ex around 9:15 Thursday night after receiving a call that an unknown male discharged bear spray towards a group of people.

In an email to CJWW News, the Saskatoon Police Service says the suspect fled the scene.

First aid staff on site and Medavie Health Services responded to assist those affected by the bear spray.

The SPS doesn’t have an accurate description of the suspect at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
