Saskatchewan is expanding the eligibility for fourth doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Residents aged 18 and older will be able to get their fourth jab after having received a third dose four months ago or longer beginning on Monday.
The province says immunity is shown to wane over time and booster doses have demonstrated to provide increased protection against serious illness, hospitalization and death.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority public booking system is available as of today (fri) with clinics beginning on August 15th.
Previously, the fourth shot was only available to residents 50 years of age and older and adults 18 and older living in Long Term Care facilities or other similar facilities.
