The number of urban housing starts in our province rose 35.6 per cent in July compared to one year ago—the second highest in the country.

The best numbers were reported for multiple unit dwellings with 131 starts compared to 77 last year.

There were 143 single-family dwelling starts, up from 125 in July 2021.
