Around 6:40 yesterday morning (Thurs), a Saskatoon Police K-9 Unit team were doing a training exercise in the 300 block of Ottawa Avenue North, when a gunshot was heard nearby. Two potential suspects were seen taking off on bikes, so the Constable relayed directions to responding officers who were able to locate and arrest two men.

Police report seizing several items of stolen property, a variety of knives, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, assorted ammunition, a small quantity of unconfirmed pills and about 28 grams of suspected meth. After a grid search of the area, a gun was found in a nearby yard. Charges are pending for two 30 year old men.
