Researchers at the University of Saskatchewan say that the viral load in wastewater in Saskatoon had decreased by 22.3 per cent. It was down 1.7 per cent in Prince Albert and had dropped 11.8 per cent in North Battleford. These numbers are derived in comparison to the weekly average of the previous week.
For all three communities, the concentration of viral particles is considered large because it is greater than a ten-week average.
As well, in all three communities, 100 per cent of COVID-19 found in wastewater was an Omicron variant.
