A Thursday afternoon incident outside of a business in Prince Albert that included a fire, threats and physical altercations has resulted in one man being arrested and facing multiple charges.

Thirty-seven-year-old Hector Robert Charlette is charged with uttering threats, assaulting a peace officer, mischief and two charges of of assault with a weapon. The incident occurred outside a business in the 3300 block of 2nd Avenue West.

The Prince Albert Police were called to the parking lot of the business where a man had started a fire in a garbage bin and threatened the business staff.

When officers arrived, they located the suspect matching the description given nearby. He attempted to flee at first, then got into an altercation with officers.

Two passersby helped bring the man safely into custody and there were no injuries.
