The U of Saskatchewan Huskies football team continues pre-season preparations today as the defending Hardy Cup-champion Dogs open their 2022 Canada West Conference regular-season on Friday when they visit the Calgary Dinos. Saskatchewan’s home opener is Friday, September 9th when they host the U-B-C Thunderbirds. Game time is 7 p.m. at Griffiths Stadium.

Game time is 7 p.m. at Saskatoon Minor Football Field. The Toppers have 2 wins, 1 loss for 4 points…tied for 2nd place. Regina has 3 wins, 0 losses for 6 points…good for 1st place. The Canadian Women’s Senior, Mid-Amateur and Mid-Master Golf Championships start today and run through Thursday in Winnipeg. A total of 95 golfers are taking part in the three-day, 54-hole event. The first two days and 36 holes include Inter-Provincial team competitions in the Senior 55-and-over division and the Mid-Amateur 25-and-over division. The Mid-Master division is for golfers aged 40-and-over. Saskatchewan has a team in the Senior division. Among the __ Saskatchewan entrants are Maureen Bowerman of Saskatoon, Sue Skinner of Rosetown and Tammy Bezaire of Togo. Today is the first of three rounds.
