The City of Saskatoon’s 2021 annual report states that the S & P Global credit rating was at ‘AAA/Stable’ status, and that remained the case as reported in January of this year. The Audited Financial Statements were presented to City Council on Monday, and now are available to the public.
Chief Financial Officer, Clae Hack, says “Against the ongoing challenges and the uncertainty of COVID-19 in 2021, we continued to find creative ways to be resilient and responsive in the delivery of our key services to the community”. The report shows consolidated operating revenues of over $1-billion and operating expenses of around $892-million, for a new surplus of over $186-million. The surplus increased by four per cent from 2020, sitting at $4.8-billion.
