It’s a hot long weekend in Saskatchewan and that was evident yesterday (sat) as a number of communities broke heat records.
Assiniboia broke their previous September 3rd high of 34.1 set in 2005 with a high of 35.4 Saturday.
Kindersley topped out at 36.3 yesterday (sat). Their previous record was 35.1 set back in 2009.
La Ronge was 30.9 with the previous record set in 1938 with 28.9 degrees Celsius.
On Saturday, the North Battleford area was 35.3. The previous high for the day was set back in 1950 with a temperature of 33.3.
Both Prince Albert and Saskatoon set new highs yesterday (sat). Prince Albert was 30.9 with the previous record being 29.7 set in 2009.
Saskatoon got up to 35.1. The old record was set in 1940 with a high of 32.2 degrees.
