Around 5:30 Thursday morning, Battlefords RCMP repsonded to a home after receiving reports that shots were fired where a man had been shot in the leg.

Once police arrived, they found the 27-year-old male victim had walked to a neighbour’s residence for help. He was taken to hospital by STARS air ambulance for treatment of serious but not-life threatening injuries.

The intial investigation has determined the victim and two suspects are known to each other and that there is no threat to public safety. Battlefords RCMP and RCMP Forensic Identification Services are investigating.
