Saskatchewan RCMP have found the vehicle Myles Sanderson was believed to have been travelling in following Sunday’s mass murder on the James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon.
On Thursday, investigators interviewed a resident after they gave police a tip regarding a possible sighting of Myles Sanderson in the area of Crystal Springs on Sunday, September 4th.
Police reported on Sunday morning that he may have been travelling in a black Nissan Rogue with Saskatchewan license plate 119 MPI.
Authorities received a tip Sunday of a possible sighting of the Nissan Rogue in Regina around the noon hour that day. Based off that information, the capital city became the main searching ground for Myles Sanderson.
Sanderson was eventually caught and arrested on the side of Highway 11 near Rosthern Wednesday afternoon after he stole a 2008 white Chevrolet Avalanche in the Wakaw area earlier that afternoon.
Sanderson later died at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon after going into medical distress following his arrest by the RCMP.
Crystal Springs is about 40 kilometres northeast of Wakaw.
Sanderson and his brother Damian, who was found dead on the James Smith Cree Nation Monday are the two suspects in the stabbing spree which left 10 people dead and more than a dozen injured.
