The Saskatchewan RCMP weekly report actually takes up two weeks this time around, because last week, the Communications team was more focused on keeping the public informed about the James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon investigation, as well as firearms-related incidents in the Spiritwood and Maidstone areas.
One of the incidents in the report is about a search warrant at a home on Waterhen Lake First Nation on September 1st, in relation to an assault reported the day previous. RCMP say officers seized 2.4 kilograms of cocaine, as well as illicit oxycodone, three rifles, a large quantity of ammunition and stolen property. Staff Sergeant Ryan How of the Meadow Lake RCMP says, “This is a large quantity of illicit drugs that is now off the streets.”
Police continue to search for 32 year old Dylan Lasas, who is charged with discharging a firearm with intent and assault with a weapon.
