A popular fall destination is seeing some upgrades this month which may impact those wanting to enjoy the migrating birds and changing colours of autumn.
The bridge at Beaver Creek Conservation Area is being repaired from mid to late September. Those repairs will include removal of the existing stairs north of the bridge, moving the access route to the bridge, installation of new screw pile foundations, bridge extensions, installation of new bridge deck and stairs.
The bridge is a common place where chickadees live but Meewasin Valley Authority officials say the construction will not disturb their habitat.
During the active construction phase, the bridge, stairs and short trail connection heading north will be closed, however all other trails and the two bridges will remain open.
