Saskatoon Police say they responded to a call in Sutherland of a man with a knife around midnight last night (weds).
Police say their investigation indicates the man had gotten into a home in the 200 block of Grant Street and took off before police arrived. No one was hurt in this incident and then two hours later, police got another call to the same home, saying the man had returned.
When police arrived they found a man was outside of the home armed with a knife threatening to hurt himself. When he refused to comply with police commands, a conducted energy weapon was used to take him into custody.
A 27 year old man is facing a variety of charges including break and enter, carrying a weapon dangerous to public peace and being unlawfully at large, among others.
