The Saskatchewan Roughriders will be out to end a four-game losing streak at Mosaic Stadium, get back to .500, eliminate Edmonton from C-F-L playoff contention and spoil the return of former Green and White G-M and head coach Chris Jones…in one fell swoop Friday. Riders’ head coach Craig Dickenson says they’re not focused on eliminating the Elks…..
Meanwhile, Saskatchewan’s depth chart and roster was released this morning and showed Cody Fajardo as the starting quarterback. Lo and behold, he was on the field for the 7-7 Roughriders’ final walk-through, less than 36 hours after wife Laura gave birth to their first child on Wednesday. Two changes from last week’s loss in Winnipeg sees defensive backs Jordan Beaulieu in for former U of S Huskie Nelson Lokombo and Regina product Mitch Picton in at receiver for Jake Harty. Lokombo was placed on the six-game injured list and Harty on the one-game I-L. As a result, receiver Duke Williams, guard Logan Ferland and defensive lineman Anthony Lanier remain on the one-game injured list.
