Today marks 31 years since Jean LaChance was the victim of a homicide but the Prince Albert Police Service says despite the passing of three decades, her death remains under investigation.
Jean’s children were between the ages of four and 11 in 1991, and were suddenly and left without their mother when on September 15, 1991 Jean Lachance’s body was discovered along the bush line in a field south of Victoria Hospital.
Sergeant Kathy Edwardsen with the Prince Albert Police Service’s Missing Persons and Historical Crimes unit says,”Jean’s family has spent years waiting for answers about what happened,” said Sgt. Edwardsen. She says Jean’s family deserves to know the truth.”
Jean was last seen the evening of Saturday, September 15, 1991 at the former Coronet bar around closing time. At the time, there were multiple witnesses who were able to assist police in providing a timeline of Jean’s actions that weekend. Investigators continue to seek additional information that could help solve this case.P olice say someone knows what happened to Jean LaChance and police are hoping anyone with information will come forward.
