Winnipeg product Kienan LaFrance could be the starting running back for the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday against the two-time defending Grey Cup-champion Blue Bombers.
The veteran LaFrance would allow the Green and White to start an import elsewhere should he be the choice to replace Frankie Hickson this week. Hickson is out with a broken left wrist. He had been replacing Jamal Morrow who is on the six-game injured list.
Meanwhile, it appears as though veteran centre Dan Clark will be activated from the six-game I-L for this week. Clark broke his leg late in the Week 2 game on June 18 in Edmonton.
In addition, the Riders officially announced that they have released import defensive lineman Keion Adams. Elsewhere, Saskatchewan signed import defensive backs T-J Green and Devin Jones. Following is the news release from the Roughriders on the signings…..
