Saskatchewan’s population is rising, with the largest increase ever recorded since Statistics Canada began releasing its quarterly population counts in 1971. Saskatchewan grew by 6,465 people in the second quarter of this year for a total of 1,194,803 people in the province as of July 1st. Trade and Export Development Minister Jeremy Harrison suggests Saskatchewan’s economy creating new jobs is attracting more people to the province.
