Industrial Machine & Manufacturing has pleaded guilty in Saskatoon Provincial Court for an Occupational Health and Safety violation where a worker was seriously injured. The charge was failing to provide and maintain a safe working environment, resulting in serious injury. In March of 2020, a worker was injured when their coveralls became entangled in the spindle of a boring mill. OHS Regulations state that employers are required to provide information, training and experience necessary for employees to perform their jobs safely. Industrial Machine and Manufacturing was fined almost $36,000 and a surcharge of over $14,000 for a total of $50,000.
