Prince Albert Police say information from the public has helped to advance the investigation of the body of an unidentified female found in a burned vehicle on Sunday morning. Emergency crews responded to the 1200 block of 17th Street West for a fire and found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. When the fire was extinguished, a body was found inside.

The female is described as 5’1″ and about 100 pounds. She was wearing distinctive pink high-top Nike Flight shoes and maroon-coloured leggings from Lululemon. Since releasing this information, tips have come in from the public, which Staff Sergeant Travis Willie with the Criminal Investigation Division says has been key in the investigation. “The quick response from residents has been a significant factor and we anticipate more information will be released following the autopsy.

The autopsy is scheduled later this week, as the investigation continues. The Prince Albert Police Service thanks residents for contacting them.
