A first round draft pick out of U-C-L-A and an N-F-L mini-camp attendee has signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Prior to practice Tuesday, the Green and White announced that linebacker Jordan Genmark Heath has come to terms with the C-F-L club. A product of Sweden, Genmark Heath was taken in the first round, fifth overall, in the 2022 C-F-L Global Draft by the Riders. He started all 12 games at inside linebacker for the Bruins in 2021 after transferring from Notre Dame. He attended Kansas City’s mini-camp this past summer. RIDERS SIGN GLOBAL DRAFT PICK JORDAN GENMARK HEATH
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Global linebacker Jordan Genmark Heath.
Genmark Heath (6’1-225) attended 2022 rookie mini-camp with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Swedish native was drafted by the Roughriders in the first round, fifth overall, of the 2022 CFL Global Draft.
Collegiately, Genmark Health played the 2021 season at UCLA, where he started all 12 games at inside linebacker. The former Bruin recorded 55 tackles, three-and-a-half sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception. Previously, he spent three seasons (2017-20) at Notre Dame, appearing in 39 games and racking up 42 tackles. He began his football career with the Arlanda Jets, an American football league in Sweden.
