Parkland Ambulance in Prince Albert has decided to outfit its ambulances with not just white and red lights, but blue as well. Earlier this year on April 14 SGI announced changes to the Highway Traffic Act which allowed emergency vehicles to add blue lights. That included ambulances and fire-fighting vehicles.

The change also aligns with the amendment made in 2015 to allow blue lighting for snow plows, followed by tow trucks and other roadside services vehicles in 2017 to increase their visibility in poor conditions. Parkland Ambulance will have blue, red and white emergency lights on all its ambulances and emergency response vehicles.
