A two-vehicle accident between a semi and an SUV was fatal.

It occurred Friday night around 10:40 pm. at the intersection of Diefenbaker Drive and 22nd Street West and it involved an SUV and a semi with two loaded trailers.

A 59-year-old man and 60-year-old woman in the SUV were taken to hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The 27-year-old truck driver was not injured.

The Saskatoon Police Service says its Collision Analyst Unit is continuing to investigate.
