A Saskatoon drug trafficking ring was put to a stop late Saturday evening, into early Sunday morning as the Saskatoon Police Service’s Crime Reduction Team arrested four adults.
At about 11 p.m. on October 8, the S-P-S Tactical Support Unit and Canine Unit successfully performed a high risk traffic stop on Central Avenue, just north of College Drive. Three people – a 43-year-old man, a 48-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman – were arrested without further incident while a search of their vehicle turned up a large amount of methamphetamine. From there, officers executed a search warrant on a residence in the 100 block of Hedley Street where a 41-year-old woman was arrested. In total, police seized a modified 12-guage shotgun, a previously reported to have been stolen 2018 Harley Davidson Road Glide motorcycle, 517.5 grams of methamphetamine, 43.5 grams of cocaine, cell phones and digital scales consistent with use in drug trafficking, a shotgun and rifle ammunition plus an expandable baton (pictured). All four people arrested face multiple charges.
