The COVID-19 viral RNA load detected in Saskatoon’s wastewater has remained basically unchanged in the most recent weekly report, from University of Saskatchewan researchers, when compared to last week.
At 61 per cent Prince Albert’s viral load dropped by more than half and the amount of SARS Cov-2 found in North Battleford wastewater dropped by about 12 per cent from the previous week’s report.
All three communities report a high presence of the Omicron BA-5 variant of the virus.
Researchers have been tracking viral RNA in wastewater since 2020.
