Update: Swift Current RCMP issued a notice at 5:19 p.m. on Thursday which indicated Loralee Murrell has been located.  The RCMP thank the public for their help.

A 61-year-old woman from Moose Jaw, reported missing in the Swift Current area while driving west on Highway 1, is the subject of a plea for public assistance to locate her.  The news release issued for Saskatchewan by Swift Current RCMP has now expanded into Alberta.

Loralee Murrell (pictured) was reported missing to police early Wednesday morning after she was seen leaving Waldeck at about 2 a.m. on Monday, having made arrangements to visit a family member in Vancouver.

Murrell is believed to be traveling in a grey 2008 Toyota Rav 4 with Saskatchewan license plate 860 K-G-E, heading west on the Trans-Canada Highway. She is said to be traveling with a tan, male dog – a boxer breed.

Murrell is described as being 5’5″ inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds with shoulder length red/brown hair and blue eyes. She has a heart tattoo on one of her ankles and was last seen wearing a blue sweater with black capri pants and blue sandals. Anyone who has seen Loralee Murrell or has any information as to her whereabouts is asked to call the Swift Current Rural R-C-M-P, your local police service or Crime Stoppers.
