Highway #16 eastbound lanes are currently blocked at the community of Maymont in relation to an RCMP investigation.

There are detours in place through Maymont to Highway #376, east on a grid road and then back to the Yellowhead Highway.

RCMP indicate motorists can expect delays and the road will be block for most of the day on Sunday.

There is no risk to public safety for individuals travelling in the area. RCMP says they provide further updates when they are able.
