Saying the Saskatchewan Roughriders, “need a spark and we feel like Mason has done a good job of staying ready,” head coach Craig Dickenson announced Wednesday that Mason Fine will be the Green and White’s starting quarterback Saturday night against the visiting Calgary Stampeders.

The Riders currently sit outside a C-F-L playoff spot for the first time this season. They finish home-and-home against the Stamps with their 6-10 record being the same as Eastern Conference third place Hamilton, who finish with a home-and-home set against Ottawa. Saskatchewan has to finish ahead of the Tiger-Cats to be in the playoffs.
