Very rarely does anything good in life come easy and the Saskatoon Blades showed that to be the case Wednesday as they won their fourth straight game in hard-earned and hard-working fashion in a 3-2 triumph over the Hurricanes in Lethbridge.
The Bridge City Bunch improved to 7-2-0 for the season by overcoming a pair of one-goal deficits. The win made up for a 3-1 loss to the 4-6-0 Canes back on October 4 at SaskTel Centre which ended the Blue and Gold’s three consecutive triumphs to start the campaign. Brandon Lisowsky notched the game-winning goal late in the second period after Trevor Wong and Jayden Wiens each tallied to erase the Lethbridge leads. After that, Ethan Chadwick (pictured) slammed the net shut, making 29 saves and being named the game’s first star. In all nine games thus far this season, the Blades have yet to allow more than three goals in any one outing – a franchise record! Saskatoon’s next game is Friday in Calgary against the Hitmen. Following are the audio game highlights, a Post-Game Show interview with head coach Brennan Sonne and the official game summary courtesy the W-H-L…..
