Coming off Wednesday night’s 3-2 victory in Lethbridge, the Saskatoon Blades made a special stop for practice Thursday before continuing on to Calgary.
The Bridge City Bunch held a spirited 35-minute practice at the Charlie Cheesman Memorial Centre in Cardston, Alberta, located about 80 kilometres southwest of Lethbridge. After the session, the Blue and Gold were joined by several youngsters from the community and surrounding area for a half-hour skate and autograph session. The town of over 3,500 people is also on the southern edge of the Kianai First Nation, which is the home of Blades’ assistant coach Wacey Rabbit.
