Regina police are investigating that city’s seventh murder of the year.

The 34-year-old man had been in hospital with serious injuries following an assault late October 11 or early October 12. Police were dispatched to the Regina General Hospital after a report of an unconscious man being treated for wounds consistent with an assault.

The man was later identified as Bryant Thayne Starr of Regina. Police were informed of his death yesterday Tuesday).

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
