Saskatoon Police say a second teen was arrested in connection to an incident involving bear spray and a firearm at Mount Royal Collegiate on Monday.
Around 11 a.m. on Thursday officers were dispatched to the Saskatoon Provincial Courthouse to arrest a 15-year-old male wanted on a warrant in connection to the events which transpired on Monday around 2:30 p.m. when bear spray was deployed, and one suspect was seen in possession of a firearm before fleeing. One male did suffer the effects of the bear spray.
He was arrested without incident and is facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, and unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon. He was also wanted on various other warrants relating to several additional incidents; these warrants were executed simultaneously. Related charges include sexual assault, uttering threats, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions on numerous occasions.
On Wednesday a 16-year-old male youth turned himself in at police headquarters around 9 a.m. and he has been charged in connection to the incident Monday at Mount Royal Collegiate. The teen is charged with Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Breach of Conditions and several other firearm related offenses.
