Several usual starters on defence for the Saskatchewan Roughriders aren’t in the line-up Saturday night in Calgary.

Defensive end A-C Leonard, linebacker Derrick Moncrief and defensive backs Nick Marshall and Mike Edem are sitting out – Edem due to injury while veteran Charleston Hughes starts in place of Leonard and C-J Reavis in place of Moncrief for the final game of the 2022 C-F-L regular-season. In addition, Jester Weah starts in Kyran Moore’s slotback start, Anthony Lanier returns to the defensive line rotation and Cody Fajardo will be in uniform as the back-up quarterback to Mason Fine – not Jake Dolegala as many speculated.
