A manslaughter charge has been laid in connection to a Wollaston Lake RCMP investigation.

Officers responded to a report of an altercation at home on Hatchet Lake First Nation just after 10:30 Wednesday morning and found an injured man.

Twenty-eight-year-old Donald Mercredi was later declared dead by EMS. A second man, Mercredi’s father, was arrested at the scene. F

ifty-six-year-old Donald Mercredi Sr. is charged with manslaughter. He is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on Friday.
